Seller terms
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you, the seller, and One Mass Enterprise (SSM 003736126-H), which runs OrderLokal (“we”, “us”). You accept them when you tick the box to create your shop, or when your dashboard asks you to accept a new version. Please read them with our refund & failed-delivery policy and privacy policy, which form part of these terms.
1. What OrderLokal does
OrderLokal gives you a shop page with your menu and your own link, an order board, and tools to arrange delivery. We provide the software. You sell the food: the sale is between you and your customer, and you are responsible for it.
We are not a marketplace and we never collect or hold your customers’ money. Customers pay you directly.
2. Your account and shop
- Give true and complete details about yourself and your shop, and keep them up to date.
- Keep access to your sign-in email or Google account to yourself. You are responsible for what is done from your account.
- Your shop link is permanent once chosen.
- We check every new shop before customers can see it. We may ask for more information, decline a shop, or pause a shop as set out in section 11.
3. Your food and the law
You are responsible for:
- the food you sell: its safety, hygiene, packaging, and any halal or other claim you make about it;
- any licence, permit, registration or training the law requires of you as a food seller;
- your menu, prices, photos and descriptions being accurate, and answering customers’ questions about ingredients and allergies;
- any tax that applies to your sales.
Don’t sell anything illegal, anything you aren’t allowed to sell, or anything our delivery partner won’t carry, through OrderLokal.
4. Payments from your customers
Customers pay you directly, by scanning the DuitNow QR you upload or, for pickup orders you don’t ask to be paid first, when they collect. The QR and the bank or e-wallet account behind it must be yours.
For orders paid first, check that the money is really in your account before you tap Received — accept. A customer’s receipt or “I’ve paid” alone is not proof of payment. We are not responsible for payments between you and your customers, including ones that don’t arrive.
5. Delivery
You can offer delivery in two ways, each with its own distance limit:
- Your own rider. The delivery fee is always Lalamove’s price for the trip, rounded up to the next RM0.50. You agree to charge that rate. You are responsible for your rider and the delivery.
- A Lalamove rider, which we book for you when you tap Call rider. You see the price before you confirm. We pay Lalamove from OrderLokal’s own wallet and take Lalamove’s actual fee from your delivery credit. Lalamove’s riders work under Lalamove’s own terms; we are not a courier, but we will help you take up a problem with Lalamove.
The customer pays the delivery fee to you, as part of their total. Because the fee they see is rounded up, any difference between it and the fee you are charged stays with you. Delivery fees can change between checkout and booking; if Lalamove changes the price of a booking afterwards, the difference is charged to or refunded to your credit.
To deliver an order, its rider receives the customer’s name, phone number, address and rider note, and your pickup address and contact number.
6. Fees and delivery credit
- Opening a shop is free, and so are pickup orders. There is no monthly fee.
- Every delivery order (your own rider or Lalamove) carries a RM1 service fee, shown to the customer as “Service fee” and paid to you with their order. We take RM1 from your delivery credit when you confirm the order’s payment.
- A Lalamove rider’s fee is taken from your credit when the rider is booked.
- When fees are given back to your credit is set out in the refund & failed-delivery policy.
Delivery credit is money you pay us in advance for these fees. You can top it up by DuitNow transfer to our account (no fee; we add it once we see the transfer) or, when it is offered, by online banking (a RM1.50 fee per top-up, for example RM51.50 for RM50 of credit). Credit can only be used for OrderLokal fees and Lalamove riders. It earns no interest, can’t be moved to someone else, and doesn’t expire.
While your credit can’t cover a delivery, customers can’t choose delivery at your shop. If your balance goes below zero (for example after a price change), top up to cover it.
If you close your shop, we refund your unused credit on request, less RM1.50 for the transfer.
We may change our fees. We will tell you on your dashboard at least 14 days before a change and you will be asked to accept new terms.
7. Cancellations and refunds to customers
If you reject or cancel an order the customer has already paid for, or can’t deliver what they paid for, you refund them directly and mark it refunded on your board. We can’t refund customers for you, because we never receive their money. The refund & failed-delivery policy says what customers can expect.
8. Your customers’ personal data
You receive your customers’ names, phone numbers and, for deliveries, addresses. Use them only to prepare, deliver and talk to the customer about their order, or as the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 otherwise allows (for example, marketing only to customers who agreed to it). Keep them safe, and don’t sell or publish them.
Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data and your customers’ data.
9. Fair use
- Don’t place fake orders, or use OrderLokal to mislead customers.
- Don’t try to get into other sellers’ accounts or data, copy the service in bulk, or disrupt it.
- Don’t use another business’s name, logo or trademark without their permission.
10. Availability and liability
We work to keep OrderLokal running, but it relies on other services (hosting, maps, Lalamove, banks) and may sometimes be unavailable or make mistakes. We provide it as it is.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for your lost sales or profits, for your food or your dealings with customers, or for what Lalamove’s riders do; and our total liability to you is limited to the service fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
11. Pausing and closing a shop
You can close your shop at any time by contacting us. We may pause your shop, so customers can’t order, if you break these terms, if customers complain of serious problems, if your credit stays below zero, or to protect customers or OrderLokal. We will tell you why and how to sort it out.
12. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, your dashboard shows the new version and asks you to accept it. We record which version you accepted and when.
13. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia will decide any dispute. If the English and Bahasa Melayu versions differ, the English version applies.
